Hi All,
I am using dundas chart for RS on 2005. I have charts which I want
toggled hidden based on text boxes. The toggle works on all the other
objects on the charts. I talked to Dundas and they were saying that
the hide/show was inside RS and that their control did not control
this. They also said they had not heard of anyone else doing this
yet...after all the control has only been out a short time.
I was wondering if anyone else out there was using dundas chart and was
able to get a chart to toggle hidden based on a text control...'
Or can anyone telll me what I can do to trace the html generated so I
could see if this is an RS problem or a dundas problem'
I'm very keen to be able to toggle charts hidden/non-hidden on the
dashboards we are building.
Thanks
Peter Nolan
www.peternolan.comHi All,
work back from Dundas/MSFT is that this is a bug somewhere between the
two....I've been told the workaround is to put the chart inside a
rectangle and toggle the rectange not the chart. Yet to try it...Just
thought I would post back here for those who also want to toggle dundas
charts visible/hidden.

www.peternolan.com|||Hi All,
well, final word is that MSFT have agreed it is a bug inside RS
apparently and in the meantime the workaround of putting the chart
inside a rectangle and toggling the rectangle hidden seems to work just
fine.....hope this helps someone else trying out Dundas/RS2005.
By the way, the charts in Dundas seem to work really well, present
really well and are very easy to put into the designer...so they look
pretty good..I have nothing else to compare with as we finally decided
to go with Dundas without doing detailed evaluations....
Best Regards
Peter
